FAQ

Do we have to book the ferry to Hvar in advance?

At the port in Split, there are signs directing you to the Ferries to Hvar. There, you will find ticket booths where you can purchase tickets at a slightly reduced cost. However, if you want to ensure a specific time slot, it’s advised to book in advance as they can sell out.

When is the RSVP deadline?

We want to ensure you’re all fed and accounted for! Please let us know if you’ll be attending each the Welcome Party, Wedding, and Catamaran by April 4, 2025.

What should we wear to each event?

Please don’t shy away from colours! All that we ask is that no one wear white/cream, and if the ladies could refrain from wearing champagne or mauve dresses, that would be appreciated!

Welcome Party –
Think semi-formal! For men, this typically means a suit or dress pants with or without a blazer, no tie necessary (we wouldn’t do that to you two days in a row). For women, a cocktail, midi, or mini dress, dressy jumpsuit or trousers are all acceptable!

The Wedding –
Cocktail/Formal! For men, this would mean a suit and tie/bowtie. For women, a cocktail, black-tie dress, or appropriate suit/jumpsuit!

Note: It does tend to cool off at night on the island and, although we will be working up a sweat on the dance floor, bring a light jacket if you tend to get cold easily!

Catamaran –
Boat/Beach attire! We’ll be swimming, dancing, and tanning!

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Our ceremony begins at 5 pm, please arrive no later than 4:30 to enjoy a welcome cocktail and find your seats!

Should I rent a car?

Unless you have mobility issues, we recommend that you don’t rent a car if the main town of Hvar is your only destination on the island. It is largely considered to be a walking town; most hotels and Airbnbs are located in and around the main port of Hvar town. Driving is not permitted directly in the main port, nor many of the surrounding streets. Cars can get you close to most places; however you should expect to walk a short distance from where you’ve parked.

If you choose to rent a car to take to Hvar and explore the island afterward, ensure you purchase tickets for the Roll On/Roll Off Ferry. This ferry takes an additional hour and drops you off at the Stari Grad port, about 20 minutes from the main port of Hvar. Stari Grad is a beautiful town on the island of Hvar that is absolutely worth exploring!

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Our wedding venue is entirely open-air. However, there are covered areas of our venue in the event of poor weather conditions (knock on wood!!!!).

How do I get to and from the wedding venue?

Our wedding venue is conveniently located an approximate 1-minute walk from the pool area exit of the Amfora Grand Beach Resort, and approximately a 10 min walk from the main port. If you choose to drive or taxi from any location, it is recommended that you be dropped off at the Amfora Grand Beach Resort and walk the short distance to the venue from there.

Do we have to arrive in Hvar via Split?

No! There are also ferries from Bol, Dubrovnik, Korcula, Pomena, Milna, and Prigradica. There is no public airport on the island.
